Big British Bake Off fans congratulated contestant Laura Adlington in Tuesday’s final after being moved by the signature bake.
After her eight slices of custard didn’t set, Laura, 31, hid her head in the freezer as she cried from the stressful challenge.
With the added pressure of creating custard in a hot tent during the height of the summer heatwave, the star was moved by her melting creations.

With Laura admitting: ‘I just feel so embarrassed. ”
Emotional: Laura, 31, also took to her Twitter after the finale aired to share a tearful selfie as she revealed that she had named champion Peter Sawkins as the winner on day one.
She wrote on Twitter after the finale aired: “ I’m so emotional (surprise surprise). How beautiful that end was !? I can’t believe it’s over. I feel so blessed and incredibly proud of everyone who made it happen ‘
