Rumors of Android 12 keep accelerating. As the possible launch of the first preview for developers approaches, we have more preview of what future Android phones might gain.

Judging by the many leaks to date, we understand that Google has reserved privacy, usability, and aesthetics as key factors for improvement.

Recently leaked screenshots suggest that a revamped privacy system will give users more control over app permissions and app access to key sensors. Google is also apparently tweaking its Android 12 user interface, adding wider color palettes in themes that match the selected wallpaper. Additionally, adding ART as a Mainline module will ensure that updates are distributed more easily between manufacturers. Improvements for gamers are also on the cards, while lightweight phones on storage can also be helped.

These are just a few of the supposed features that should be included in Google’s upcoming mobile operating system. But what are your thoughts on Android 12 so far? Overall, Android 12 doesn’t seem like a revolutionary leap from its predecessor. While an iterative step can be seen as a good thing, is it really what Android users want?
