Quarterback Tom Brady asked someone to move into the locker moments later in the Patriots' locker room this week, but he did not want to discuss new teammate Antonio Brown on Wednesday.
Brady's disinterest has spread both on and off the field. When it came to field issues, Brady was asked about how Brown viewed the practice and said that he was trying to be in tune while focusing on the whole team. . Brady had even less to say about the lawsuit brought against Brown for rape and sexual assault.
"I'm just trying to introduce myself and play football. Miami is a good team, "said Brady. "Things that do not involve me, do not involve me."
Brady was also questioned about Brown staying home while Al Michaels said Sunday night that an invitation to do so had been offered when Brown agreed to sign with New England. Brady did not seem pleased with Michaels' comment on Monday and said he would not get involved on Wednesday.
Brady would not be expected to have much to say about Brown's legal problems and what it means for his place on the team. This is the case for other members of the organization, although there does not seem to be much to say beyond the statement issued Tuesday night.
