What is NASA hiding? The space agency mysteriously blurs a new photo of the SLS rocket

NASA has mysteriously blurred images of a pioneering space rocket designed to take astronauts to Mars.

The Space Agency has published images of the Space Launch System (SLS), a powerful spacecraft scheduled for a test flight in 2019.

Much of the body of the rocket has been obscured in both images and it is unclear why.

The first of the photos shows an engineer installed in New Orleans in the Michoud assembly in New Orleans, observing the "downstream matching" of two structures completed to form the upper part of the SLS upper scene.

The second shows a different step in this process.

Both were spotted by the Nasa Watch independent news site and we have confirmed their publication on the website of the space agency.

NASA publishes a large number of photos. It is possible that many others are unclear.

Although we can say that the images have been changed because a strange alien creature clings to the rocket, this scenario is highly unlikely.

There are several more realistic reasons why NASA may have blurred the image.

Perhaps the images showed an ultra-secret technology that NASA did not want to see seen by rival nations like China, who are accused of stealing intellectual property belonging to companies or other countries. .

Blur could mask evidence of a hidden rocket capability, such as a technology intended for military use.

There could also be a really prosaic reason, like the fact that Nasa Top Brass is trying to hide the real name of the rocket or other promotional information.

We wrote to NASA asking why the pictures were blurry. We will update this piece if it answers.
