Due to the fact that Utah was new to the Pac12 Conference in 2011, the Huskies and Utes have a limited history against each other. In fact, Washington has only played Utah 14 times (12-2), winning the first eight before suffering a loss in 2015, each meeting before the 2011 Salt Lake City conference game set in Seattle. .
Last season, the Utes beat the Huskies, 33-28, on Nov. 2 in Seattle. The # 9 ranked Utes were led by the quarterback Tyler huntley, who landed a touchdown and ran for another, and by DB Jaylon johnson, who had a 39-yard intercept return for a score.
In 2018, the Huskies faced the Utes twice: once in the regular season and again in the Pac-12 Championship game. On September 15 in Salt Lake City, the Huskies defeated the
Utes, 21-7, in the Huskies’ Pac-12 opener. Myles Gaskin rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown while Jake browning was 14 for 24 for 155 yards and a touchdown. The Husky defense kept the Utes at 261 yards of total attacking. The Pac-12 title game was a defensive fight the Huskies won, 10-3. The only TD of the game was a 66-yard interception return from cornerback Husky Byron murphy. UW edged Utah, 306 yards to 188.
The 2016 UW-Utah game was only the second in Salt Lake City. In that one, a year after shattering their eight-game winning streak in the series, the No.4
The Huskies won a thriller, 31-24, over the Utes, 17th. With the score tied 24-24 with around 3:30 to play in the fourth quarter, Dante Pettis returned a 58-yard punt for a touchdown. The Utes managed to reach UW 35 on the next drive before failing to convert a 4th and 15th attempt.

Washington scored another seven-point victory in 1953 with a 21-14 decision, then earned another 7-6 victory the following year in another game opener. In 1959,
a Husky team that finished the year 10-1 with a Rose Bowl victory, beat the Utes, 51-6.
Most recently, on September 15, 1979, Washington, in 14th place, beat Utah, 41-7, en route to a 10-2 season that was capped with a Sun Bowl victory over Texas. The UW
had an interception return for a TD of Bruce harrell, and Kyle stevens returned a 95-yard kickoff for a score in that game.
In 2011, in Salt Lake City, in the Utes’ first-ever Pac-12 home game, the Huskies earned a 31-14 victory. The Huskies got off to a quick start when Jamaal kearse restored
a fumble on the kickoff and sent it back for a touchdown. Keith Prize then threw three touchdowns and Chris Polk rushed for 189 yards as the Dawgs led
almost everywhere. In 2012, at CenturyLink Field, Washington maintained their perfect record against Utah with a 34-15 victory. Low 8-0 thanks to a John white Running 46 yards, the Huskies scored two touchdowns in the second quarter (a pass from Price to Kasen Williams and a prize race) and then open the third (Prix à DiAndre Campbell) to pull ahead for good. Sankey rushed for 156 yards while the UW defense kept the Utes to just 188 total attacking yards (despite White’s 142 rushing yards).
Utah claimed their first series victory in 2015 in Seattle as a 24-point explosion in the second quarter led to a 34-23 victory. In 2017 in Seattle, Washington tied the game with 1:05 left, then threw a basket on the final game to win, 33-30. Jake Browing went 26-for-35 for 354 yards and two touchdowns.
