Season 5 may be less than a month away, but Epic Games still has plenty up its sleeve.
The official @FortniteStatus The Twitter account has confirmed details of the upcoming v15.40 update. It is scheduled to release on Tuesday, February 16.
As usual, the server downtime will begin around 4 a.m. ET / 9 a.m. UTC and should last for about an hour.

Following this announcement, the developers posted a second Tweet, outlining what to look for in the patch: One spot in particular made a lot of noise.
“Bounce with a favorite without a vault!”
Fans are already immersed in speculation about the weapon or the item that could return on Tuesday. The shotgun is a popular scream, but Epic’s wording has others that anticipate the heavy sniper rifle, flintlock pistol, or shotgun.
Other improvements to Performance Alpha mode are also in the works. PC gamers will now have the ability to adjust the level of detail of objects and buildings, meaning they aren’t stuck with mobile-grade graphics.
V15.40 brings:
“Blast back with a no-vault favorite!
? Fun for the whole team! Characters will have more Exotics in stock for allies (or enemies) to acquire.

Additionally, non-player characters around the map will begin to store more Exotic loot. Right now, it can be difficult to get your hands on something like the Hop Rock Dualies, so this change will no doubt be welcomed by many hunters.
