Another winter storm brings snow to parts of Utah on Friday night and Saturday.
Mountainous areas of northern Utah, including the Cottonwood Canyons, could see 9 to 18 inches of snow through Saturday.
The northern mountain valleys are expected to see 2-8 inches, with 6-8 “on the northern banks.
The Wasatch Front can expect 1-4 inches of snow, including the I-15 corridor.
The valleys of central Utah can see up to an inch.
The National Weather Service advises drivers to expect slippery road conditions, especially on Saturday mornings. They say the roads can be particularly slippery along the shoal roads, including the US-89 between Farmington and Weber Canyon.

Earlier Friday evening, parts of Utah experienced a flurry of snow – a short span of snowfall but extremely intense. They usually last an hour or less and can create dangerous conditions very quickly. They can pose a hazard to drivers, as the rapidly dropping temperatures have created icy roads and the snow-wind combination creates whiteout conditions.
The snow squall warning – a new category from the National Weather Service – has since expired. Experts warn never to drive when in place.
