It is this dark period of the year when there is no Bachelor watch to watch. The season for Colton Underwood is over and we still have a few more weeks to follow Hannah Brown's journey in search of eternal love. Although this time of year can be dark for most Bachelor Nation, it's the perfect time to get to know our neighbor drive, Brown.

We learned a little more about Brown during the Underwood season, but the former beauty queen had a hard time letting down her guard in front of him, making it difficult to get a sense of who she really was. So, who is Brown and what was she doing before The single person?

What was Hannah Brown's job?

The women of the Underwood season came from many professional backgrounds. Before coming to the show, Brown worked as an interior decorator for a company called Gracefully Done. She only worked there for a little over a year before moving on to Bachelor mansion to win the heart of Underwood.

Although she had only stayed there for a short time, she loved her job.

"I like to make my clients dream homes a reality," she told the Tuscaloosa News in 2018.

Where did Hannah Brown go to school?

As all those who have heard Brown speak for a second know, Brown went to the University of Alabama. She graduated in communication with magna cum laude in 2017.. During her stay, she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

The pageant life of Brown

Brown has been competing since the age of 15. She began competing for scholarships, but then began to fall in love.

"My family saw me grow significantly because of my appearance in the peasant," she told Yellowhammer News last year. "It really has me amplified as a person. I've been able to talk to anyone about every aspect of life. "

Although she feels like she's gone from competition, life in the spotlight has not always been easy for Brown. When she entered the Miss Alabama circuit for the first time, she was not ranked in the top 15 for four straight years.

"It was rather discouraging," she said about the time. "People always have an opinion about what you do, what you say, how you walk, how you dress. I was mistaken about what should be the pageantry – I thought my trust in me was through recognition. "

Constant judgment eventually led Brown to fight depression.

"In this moment it is so difficult to see joy in life, "she said. "I remember times when I did not want to get up."

Since then, she has started a school program where she shares her story to help others with mental health issues.

"It's not always a walk in the park to be a human on this earth," Brown continued. "We all have struggles. To say that every day is easy, it is not … But to be able to speak about it and to be able to at being honest about it is the best way to solve this problem. "
