Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD), which has benefited from its product momentum in recent years, announced a new graphics card on Wednesday.
What happened: AMD, based in Santa Clara, California, has officially launched its Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card in an effort to capitalize on strong demand in the gaming market.
The new video card is designed to deliver exceptional performance, incredibly vivid visuals, and advanced software features to redefine gaming in 1440p resolution, the company said in a statement.
“The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card is ideal for 1440p gaming. For most gamers still playing on three to four year old graphics cards, this is the perfect upgrade solution designed to deliver incredible, uncompromising graphics, high refresh 1440p gaming performance at maximum settings, said Scott Herkelman, director of AMD’s graphics unit.

The specifications: The RX 6700 XT is based on the RDNA 2 gaming architecture and features 96MB of high performance AMD Infinity cache memory, 12GB of high speed GDDR6 memory, AMD Smart Access memory, among other features.
The new graphics card can deliver up to twice the gaming performance in some tiles compared to the current installed base of legacy cards, AMD said.
The company said the Radeon RX 6700 XT cards will be available for purchase through its website, board partners and online retailers from March 18. Its price is $ 479.
From HP Inc. (NASDAQ: HPQ) The updated OMEN 25L and 30L desktop gaming systems are expected to be available this spring, AMD said. Additional prefabricated systems from OEM and IS partners are expected to become available in the coming months.
AMD price action: On the last check, AMD shares slipped 2.02% to $ 82.11.
