"Avengers: Endgame", the latest installment of the seemingly endless Marvel franchise, makes its debut in theaters on April 26 on a wave of dizzying box office expectations, wacky fan theories and good old-fashioned hype media.

The saga of superheroes – with its labyrinthine mythology, extensive characters, and extensive wiki pages – can be very difficult to take. That's why we have prepared a preview of the new movie for people who do not know their vibranium on their planet Vormir. (Stay with us, people!)

OK, so what exactly is this movie?

This is a good starting point, especially if you have not been bombarded with teasers and trailers, billboards, commercials and bus figures, McDonald's links and commercial spots. Geico insurance.

"Avengers: Endgame" is the 22nd entry of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a three-phase franchise that debuted with "Iron Man" in 2008. It has since expanded its field of action to include Captain America, Thor , Guardians of the galaxy, Ant-Man, Black Panther and, more recently, Captain Marvel.

"Endgame" is also the fourth and final chapter of a series of films about the main team of superheroes, such as Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, which debuted with "The Avengers" in 2012 and was followed by "Age of Ultron" in 2015. "And the" war of the infinite "of last year.

What will happen?

The details of the plot were kept secret, despite the leak of footage on Twitter and Reddit. We know that "Endgame" picks up where "Infinity War" stopped. (Spoilers to come, you've been warned.)

The last time we saw our heroes, the Thanos purple intergalactic tyrant (Josh Brolin, reinforced by computer-generated images) swept half of all life in the universe in a snap of the fingers. "The Snappening", as some uncompromising call it.

Following this end, the surviving Avengers and their allies, including Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and a sharp raccoon Bradley Cooper – are left to pick up the pieces and find a way to resurrect their dead buddies.

It is safe to assume that fight scenes will ensue. And for what it's worth, some fans have speculated that time travel could play a key role in "Endgame".

How much money should he earn?

The eternal question! Paul Dergarabedian, Senior Media Analyst at Comscore and undisputed box-office statistics specialist, said he expects Endgame to start between $ 250 and $ 275 million. It could eclipse "Infinity War" (US $ 257 million) as the title holder of the biggest opening weekend of the North American box office history.
