Another Michigan Stocks quarterback entered the transfer portal under Jim Harbaugh.
Joe Milton became the sixth when he announced his transfer on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 243-pound player started the season as a starter and put in a strong performance in the team’s opener against Minnesota, but fell back in the next five. In his last four games, the four-star Florida prospect has completed just 33 of 68 passes for 552 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions.
Milton was taken out on Nov. 21 against Rutgers, then threw three raised passes on Nov. 28 against Penn State. He finished the season 80 with 141 passes for 1,077 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. He also added 109 rushing yards and a score.
Milton, who still has three years of eligibility, joins Dylan McCaffrey, Brandon Peters, Wilton Speight, Alex Malzone and Shane Morris as the scholarship quarterback to be transferred under Harbaugh. Speight was a three-star prospect out of high school, while the other four were four stars.
Milton’s departure gives way to Cade McNamara, a red-shirted sophomore, who started the team’s last game against PSU, and true rookie JJ McCarthy, a five-star rookie, to fight for the position n ° 1.
