Fox News has confirmed that Jamie Spears has filed the necessary documents with Los Angeles Superior Court to terminate the deal.
“If Ms. Spears wants to end the guardianship and thinks she can manage her own life, Mr. Spears thinks she should be given that chance,” Jamie Spears’ attorneys wrote in the court submission, which was obtained by the Associated Press. . Her filing came after much pressure from the #FreeBritney cohort to release her daughter from her control.
Understandably, many are speculating on how quickly the whole arrangement can fall apart. David Glass, a licensed family lawyer with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, who is not involved in the case, told Fox News the next step is for the presiding judge in the public case to approve the change.

“Judge Brenda Penny has yet to approve the decision,” he continued. “And it remains to be seen if the judge will ask a mental health expert to testify.”
