What's wrong with this weird tweet from Nikki Haley VP?

"Enough false rumors," said former ambassador to the United Nations tweeted Wednesday afternoon. "Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years, he has been a loyal and trustworthy Vice President to the President, and he has my full support."

"It's too late for Mr. Trump to reorganize his political personality, but with the election of 2016 in the past, Nikki Haley could pack the antipathy for Mr. Trump who seems to afflict so many moderate women with a tendency Republican. "

What makes sense!

Haley, the first female governor of South Carolina and the second US-Indian governor in US history, would probably help, at least in some quarters, to eliminate some of Trump's most difficult aspects. And unlike most people who left Trump's administration, Haley left in very good conditions with the president.

What seemed like a classified case. The Pence-Haley exchange is sometimes tweeted or commented on cable television, but this has not been part of national political discussions for much of the past two months. He was floated and knocked down at the time.

So, what the hell is Haley talking about? Good question! There are two obvious theories.

1) There is a story to come – Haley has heard of – who is suggesting either a) Trump is still considering replacing Pence on the ticket or b) Haley has been looking backstage to replace Pence as a vice presidential candidate the 2020 ballot.

OR

2) She wants to repeat the story of "Pence's replacement" for her own political reasons and sees this tweet as a way to do it.

Since I do not know any kind of story about exchanging a ticket – although I'm not sure other media organizations would warn me if it had one – let's assume it's the second theory that applies here. (If a story soon appears in a Pence-for-Haley exchange, we'll know exactly why she tweeted what she did.)

Haley knows that by tweeting what she tweeted, she will begin a conversation about the history of the VP exchange. What "false rumors?" the reporters will ask. And then they'll make calls and check with sources to find out exactly what Haley is talking about. Some stories will be produced – and some other segments of cable television will be produced – that will try to determine if there is "one" there. Even if there is nothing in Haley's so-called "false rumor", she will have effectively pushed the story back into political blood.

Of course, if you think about it, Haley's tweet is resolutely Trumpian. Float something that nobody speaks. Watch them talk about it. And then, well, see what happens!

A source close to Haley's thinking told CNN: "She ignored it for months and finally decided to say" It's too much, it's too much. " "She knew of course that this would attract attention in the immediate future, but hoped that it would end the longer term."

Now, I'm not saying that Haley is trying to get paid. But she could stir the pot to do it – and make sure her name comes back into the national mix.

And Haley does not say what she meant. (The tweet speaks for itself!) Which means we can only speculate on why she did what she did.

I would like to clarify one thing: enough false rumors. I will not be the starting quarterback of the Washington Redskins this season.
