According to a report by Tim Healey of Newsday, Entry of Mets Zack Wheeler was placed on the list of injured with fatigue in the right shoulder.

Wheeler had a mediocre exit last Sunday when he allowed six points in five innings and more to the Phillies.

Wheeler, who is one of the biggest players in the Mets market as we approach the trading deadline, took an extra start before the All Star break to extend his hearing to trading partners. This decision is now back to bite the Mets.

This injury news seems to come from nowhere, as there was no indication that Wheeler had any physical problems before. Depending on the severity and duration of this relay on the casualty list, its market value in the bottom right could be seriously affected.

Healey too added this Steven Matz Wheeler will participate in the opening of Tuesday's series against the Twins. Matz was originally scheduled to appear on Wednesday.

Matt Ehalt's Yahoo Sports later noted that it was not a serious injury, but rather a precautionary gesture. Apparently, Wheeler had been struggling with this fatigue for a while, so the Mets just made it easier for him, because his health is a priority for the trading deadline.
