When is the next Apple event? it could be in October
Apple typically holds three to four events each year with one event in the spring, a summer developer conference, and one or two other events in the fall. Fall events usually take place in September and October. The The September event, which this year fell on September 14, tends to feature new iPhones and Apple Watch upgrades, while the October event typically features new Macs and iPads, which matches Gurman’s prediction.
Apple’s event model changed slightly in 2020 due to production delays during the pandemic. The Apple event last September unveiled the Apple watch 6, Apple Watch SE and updated iPad models – but no new iPhone. The company later revealed the iPhone 12 in October. Last year’s Apple event was also live only due to the pandemic. A live broadcast was available as usual on the company’s website.
But this year, Apple returned to its usual September schedule with another virtual event. Given that Apple has hosted an event in October often over the past decade (with the exception of 2019, 2017, and 2015), it’s likely that another Apple event is imminent.
