The world was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the baby Archie, Meghan Markle's pregnancy seeming to last well beyond the usual nine months. Finally, he is here and in good health.

Now, the world wants to know when they will have the opportunity to take a look at the new heap of joy.

Even though an official royal tour to present their firstborn is planned, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could ask their son to travel to America sooner than that.

Although she is now a member of the British Royal Family, Meghan Markle was born and raised as an American. Her family comes from the United States and Markle hopes she can share this half of Archie's lineage with him.

A source told US Weekly that Meghan felt it was "just as important for Archie to know his family's story as it is for him to know his royal ancestors."

The same source then told the magazine that Markle "plans to take a trip to Los Angeles with him once she's comfortable taking her on a plane."

When can babies fly in planes?

There is no concrete conclusion about when babies can fly safely. Of course, the two main concerns are that a baby's ears are much more sensitive to pressure changes and the dangers of an emergency situation in the air.

Apart from that, various airlines around the world have set their own rules about when to allow babies to fly in their planes.

Most airlines say that a toddler must have at least two days before boarding a plane. However, some require that infants be at least two weeks old. Few people refuse to fly babies under two months old.

Most major airlines will also require the written permission of a physician before boarding a newborn. As long as they are healthy and up to date with their vaccinations, a baby does not have to be very old to take off.

When will baby Archie visit the United States with his mother?

Even though the strictest guidelines state that a baby only needs to be two months old, it's important to note that Meghan Markle is a mom for the first time.

Sources close to the new mom announced that she would travel when she felt comfortable, but everyone guessed when. It has been hinted (although it has not been confirmed) that this will happen before the royal tour that Meghan Markle planned with Prince Harry.

Is there really a future royal tour?

Yes. Sources have confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would participate in a royal tour … and yes, baby Archie will also be there.

The royal tour was originally scheduled for spring 2019, but after Markle had discovered that she was expecting it to be postponed to reflect pregnancy and birth.

A royal correspondent says that the royal tour will certainly take place this fall and that the couple are "eager to visit the United States and Canada as a family".

This, of course, confirms that they will bring their new son.

As for their destination, this part has not been confirmed yet. Sources say the royal couple and their new jewel plan to stop in Los Angeles, Washington and New York.

The exact dates and locations will probably not be confirmed until at least the middle of the summer, while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will settle all the little details.
