[ad_1]

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S released this week on November 10, and the launch day restock is pretty much the same as preorders: the consoles sold out immediately. Like the PS5, the Xbox Series X is a hot item, with demand for both next-gen consoles going through the roof right now. If you haven’t been able to acquire the X-series or its smaller, digital-only sibling, the S-series, the opportunities to buy it will be slim the rest of the year, except for one. major event that will occur later this month: Black Friday. Microsoft has not announced any further restocking in the near future.

Here’s what you need to know if you’re looking to purchase the Xbox Series X or Series S in the coming weeks.

Xbox Series X / S will be available on Black Friday

Now that Xbox launch day supply is depleted, retailers are gearing up for their next big black Friday restock. Several stores have confirmed they will have the Xbox Series X and S available this week, and while most are keeping orders online, at least one – GameStop – will be available in stores.

In GameStopIn the Black Friday ad, the game retailer revealed that it will offer the X and S Series in stores only on Black Friday (November 27). Each store will have at least two X Series units when it opens, but don’t expect them to have much more than that. GameStop stores will open at 7 a.m. local time on Black Friday, and you’ll want to call your local store ahead of time for availability. We have also contacted GameStop to confirm availability of the S Series on Black Friday and will report back.

WalmartThe Xbox Series X and S listings confirm that the retailer will also have inventory during Black Friday, though it hasn’t shared a specific time. Walmart’s Black Friday ad is split into three parts, and the third and final ad (likely featuring Xbox and other game deals) has yet to be released.

We don’t know if Target will have Xbox Series X on Black Friday. Target’s Black Friday 2020 ad only mentions the launch day restocking and makes no hint of availability later this month.

Best buy has kept its Xbox replenishment plans vague. The store announced that it will not have any Xbox Series X or Series S units in physical stores until 2021, but although its Black Friday ad shows the Xbox Series X, the retailer has not confirmed availability during this time. ‘event. Instead, he told GameSpot that the Xbox Series X / S will be available for purchase on BestBuy.com whenever units become available.

If you run out of replenishments at major retailers, reseller sites like StockX have a lot of units available, but be prepared to pay more than the list price. Right now, buyers are asking around $ 380 for the S-Series and $ 730 for the X-Series.

No other retailer has shared specific plans to restock the Xbox on Black Friday and beyond. Make sure you follow us on Twitter @GameSpotDeals for the latest updates on Xbox availability. In the meantime, check out our Xbox Series X review for our console impressions and more details.
