Where you can (at least try) to get an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine in the Princeton area and beyond if you are eligible –

[ad_1]

Currently, COVID-19 vaccines are available to paid and unpaid healthcare workers, residents and staff of long-term and group care facilities, first responders, including sworn police and firefighters, people over 65 and people 16 to 64 with certain medical conditions as defined by the CDC that increase the risk of serious illness from the virus.

If you are eligible to get a vaccine, you must pre-register for the vaccine on the NJ Vaccine Planning System website. According to state officials, you will be notified when an appointment is available. Some Planet Princeton readers have reported receiving a notification that they are eligible. They could sign up for an appointment through the NJ’s health department, but they reported there were no options near the Princeton area. They were also directed to a list of places they could call to make their own appointments. But many of these sites are not accepting appointments at this time because they are booked or do not have the vaccine in stock at the moment.

Some readers have been successful in making appointments at the state mega site in Edison, Middlesex County. Readers said they managed to secure a date after checking multiple sites on multiple sites.

Below you will find the places in our region where you can make an appointment directly for the vaccination. Click on a particular site link for more information and to register. We note that most sites are no longer vaccinated and many do not take appointments from Monday until they receive more vaccines.

Immunization clinics do not accept walk-in visits at this time. Some readers who are eligible and who were not fortunate enough to secure an appointment in the area have been successful in making appointments at vaccination centers in other counties. The full list of vaccination sites across the state is available online.

We’ve also created a Google Document to collect the latest information on vaccine capacity across the state. We are adding more locations to the document. Currently, locations in our region are listed. If you’ve updated any location information, please add a comment to the Google document. Thank you.
