Tips for completing the Raid Collection challenge in Pokémon Go

Here are some tips that will help you complete the raid collection challenge in Pokémon Go:

  • If you want to add the Raid Collection Challenge to your Elite Collector medal, you will need to do so before the end of Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto at 9 p.m. local time on Saturday, February 20.
  • With Remote Raid Passes, you can now join raids safely from the comfort of your own home!
  • If you’re having trouble finding people to find, try searching for a Pokémon Go group for your region on Facebook, Discord, Twitter, or other social media services. Here you will be able to coordinate when and where to fight in the raids.
  • Before embarking on a raid battle, be sure to plan your Pokémon team to include creatures that can counter the raid boss and exploit their weakness.

  • If you plan to participate in multiple raids throughout Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto be sure to stock up on health items in advance, so you don’t have to spend time farming PokéStops.
  • Try to prevent a member of your Pokémon team from passing out during the raid battle, as this will reduce the amount of Premier Balls you receive, making the raid boss more difficult to catch.
  • Remember to use Razz Berries or Nanab Berries when trying to catch the raid boss.
  • If you’re having trouble catching a raid boss, try throwing the PokéBall after it moves, as there should be a few seconds where the Pokémon stays still.

Celebration season has arrived! How the Raid Collection Challenge works in Pokémon Go

The Collectible Challenges in Pokémon Go were released in January 2021 and run alongside certain in-game events. Each Collectible Challenge will see you catch a certain number of Pokémon that, thanks to the event, appear more frequently in the wild or are obtained by completing a certain feature of the game – in this case, raids.

Once you complete the Collectible Challenge by catching or getting each Pokémon, you will be rewarded with a certain number of items and progress for your Elite Collector Medal.

The Raid Collection Challenge is part of the Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto event and is only available until Sunday February 28 at 19:59 (local time).

Collection challenges can be found on the “Today View”, accessed by tapping the field research button (the small binoculars) in the lower right corner of the screen. Depending on whether you’ve reviewed your current field or special research tasks, you may need to scroll to your left.

After accessing “Today View”, you’ll find a list of Pokémon you need to catch to complete the collection challenge. Catching a Pokémon in the Collection Challenge rooster will check it off the list to help you know which Pokémon you still need to get.

It is important to note that only Pokémon obtained through raids will count towards this collection challenge; which means any Pokémon caught in the wild, traded, Shadow Pokémon, or hatched from eggs will all be exempt.

Remember, the Raid Collection Challenge must be completed by 9:00 p.m. local time on Saturday February 20, otherwise you will never be able to add it to your Elite Collector Medal.

Good luck with completing this collectible challenge!
