Which Shiny Pokémon are still missing from the Kanto region?

[ad_1]

With the announcement of the Lake Legends event, we finally have the shiny Goldeen released in Pokémon GO, one of the last Pokémon in the Kanto region that has yet to have their shiny forms.

So what other Kanto Pokémon are we still missing and when can we expect to see them? Let us speculate wildly!

Spearow and Fearow

The Kanto region is not known to have some of the more obvious brilliant shapes, but Spearow and Fearow are both quite distinctive and easy to spot! A kind of gold tinged with green, they will be a welcome addition to people’s shiny collections. A flying type event or Kanto return event could potentially see this brilliant released. It could fall as part of a Random Event like Goldeen, as Niantic is clearly starting work on bringing out all of the Shiny Pokémon in the Kanto region, with the most recent events bringing Slowpoke and Goldeen.

Paras and Parasect

Better is a bright orange, and Parasect is a really awesome golden shine! Niantic had a few opportunities to take Paras out as a brilliant but hasn’t done so so far. We had hoped it could have been featured in Animation Week instead of the brilliant Cubone that was already in the game, as it was a regular spawn, but no luck! Maybe we could see it in 2021 with the return of the Bug Out event?

Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee

Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are both fantastic brilliant green! With their baby form Tyrogue Evolving in this fighting duo and Hitmontop, he could be a good choice for the traditional April Hatchathon event, giving us access to 4 new shinies via a baby. Like Electabuzz and Magmar, we hope that we will also see these brilliant shapes in the wild eventually, as the bright baby Pokémon can be some of the most difficult to access, in part due to the fact that baby Pokémon aren’t always featured. in the egg pool. A 7km Hatchathon could mean some serious hunting for these beauties! It’s also possible that only Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee will be released as Savage Brilliants for a battle or combat type event, as two of the more distinct types of combat with no brilliance available.

Same

Ditto certainly looks like one of the newest shiny Kanto forms added, as it will be much harder to figure out how best to introduce it. Currently, Ditto is catchable in the game via a series of Pokémon that disguise themselves as, then transform after capture. It’s a very rare Pokémon, with many trainers finding that it can take months between sightings, unless an event, like the Pokémon HOME event, makes them more common. This could potentially do brilliant ditto one of the absolute rarest shinies! Would the Pokémon he’s hiding appear as a shiny? Or would he only be brilliant when transformed? This leads to big questions! One way to introduce it that would be less of a problem might be through GO Snapshot photobomb encounters during an event, but once that event is over, could it stay in-game in some other way? We will be curious to know how this one makes its way in Pokémon GO!

Snorlax

Fan favorite snorlax is probably the most surprising of the missing Kanto shiny shapes at this point, she’s been a suspected shiny version for other events, but so far, no luck! With the baby shape Munchlax, that’s another shiny we might see released via the Hatchathon event, as it now seems unlikely that they would release a shiny Snorlax without a shiny munchlax. It would be amazing if Shiny Snorlax were available in the wild, if Pokémon Sleep ever reappears (what happened to that ?!), we could potentially see the return of the Sleeping Snorlax in the game, and that could be a way brilliant to come out this brilliant both in nature and with Munchlax in eggs. We hope that 2021 will finally bring us this big shiny boi!

Meow

Meow will almost certainly be the last Shiny Pokemon from the Kanto region that we see added to the game. So far, we’ve only been able to get one Mew via a special research questline, and there is had no clue or tease that we will be able to access multiples. Is that a brilliant one that we could potentially never see in the game because we can only get one? We hope not, but you never know!

Until Celebi was included in a second round of Special Research, the only Mythics that we were able to get multiple of were Meltan, (which evolves so you have to be able to get multiple), then the Mythics released via raids; Darkrai, Genesect and Deoxys.

Could Mew possibly become an EX raid boss with a shiny version to make him harder to obtain, or could we see him added to the regular raid pool as part of a special event? With the release of Shiny Celebi as a Guaranteed Shine through a special research questline, maybe we’ll eventually see Mew that way too! We’re really not sure about this one, but we hope to see it soon!

Which Pokémon from the Kanto region do you hope to see release soon? We can’t wait to see how they release these brilliant shapes.
