According to city and county records, the company could open a new office in Dallas and reach 3,000 employees at Deep Ellum. It would initially open the office in an existing tower at The Epic, an 8-acre mixed-use development, before moving into a 450,000-square-foot space in another tower.

If Uber expands to Dallas, it's hard to know which office would be the company's second-largest workforce after the company's headquarters in San Francisco – Chicago or Dallas.

The Dallas City Council last week approved economic incentives of up to $ 9.3 million. The Dallas County Commissioners will vote Tuesday on an incentive program that could give the company $ 2.6 million in tax breaks over 10 years.
