White House excavated Congress Republicans, saying there is “no real courage” on the part of House members to support the bipartisan infrastructure bill.
At the daily White House press conference on Friday, Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich whether the White House thought Congressional Progressives were to blame for the delay in bills on infrastructure and budget reconciliation in the House that has put thousands of Transport Ministry workers on leave.
In response, Psaki suggested that Senate Republicans who voted against the measure were pressured by party leaders and “special interests” to do so.

“They could come forward and support him like 19 Republicans in the Senate did, but instead they chose to be influenced, whether it was drug companies or other special interests or just to ‘to be strong armed with their leadership, not to support legislation that many, including members of the Problem Solvers Caucus, have suggested they could, ”Psaki said.
“So it only takes a majority to support the legislation in Congress and we haven’t seen real courage on the Republican side in the House,” she continued.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., Lambasted Democrats against the thousands of workers on leave from the Department of Transportation.
“Thousands of transport workers are being put on leave this morning because your government – completely controlled by Democrats – did not fund their programs,” the California Republican tweeted.
“President Pelosi fabricated this crisis so that she could use American families as leverage for her great government socialist program,” he added.
During the press conference, Psaki declined to predict when the infrastructure bill could pass in the House.

“I’m not going to predict whether or not there will be a vote,” Psaki told reporters. “I leave that to President Pelosi,” she added.
Biden is in Capitol Hill speaking with members of the House Democratic Caucus on Friday afternoon to strategize on how infrastructure and spending bills can go through Congress.
