Whitmer said in the interview that the United States had just emerged from a “historic, free, fair and complete election.”
“There was no fraud as this big lie perpetuated and fueled people’s anxieties and inspired the unthinkable on January 6. But the point is, it is a solution looking for a problem and this is unacceptable and so if and when these bills come to my office and they are aimed at making it more difficult for people to vote, they will be vetoed. “
