We had no idea what we were doing or where it was happening. After the first day of shooting, I sat there stunned. I thought, "There is magic here. There is really something going on. Levine and Shelton became close while working on The voice mainly because they liked to bicker. They fired on each other at all times, especially when it was time to persuade the new candidates to join their team. Fans loved watching it and proposed the name of the ship "Shevine".

"We are constantly at each other's throats, and sometimes we really get angry at each other," Shelton told Tennesseean. "We are these two guys you knew in high school and where we have this inexplicable connection. This brings out the best and the worst in both of us.

They have always had their moments where they have left their love for each other to show through. Shelton delivered a touching speech at the Walk of Fame ceremony in Levine, Hollywood. The friends also had more things to say after Levine left the show.

The singers left things on good terms when Levine left the show. Levine devoted part of his statement to Shelton.

Her Instagram caption said, "And BLAKE F * CKIN 'SHELTON. I could not hide my love if I tried. Seriously. I have tried. I can not do it. Our friendship is and will always be one for books. Whatever this surreal experience, I am happy to be able to experience it with you. You are my brother for life. Kelly [Clarkson] and John [Legend], take care of the cowboy and I'm sure I'll be back to say hello very soon. So much love to you both. "

Shelton always called him an idiot in his farewell message. The country singer tweeted: "I have trouble making myself understand @adamlevine to no longer be at @NBCTheVoice. After 16 seasons that have changed our two lives. I only learned about it yesterday and it has not touched me yet. I'll miss working with that idiot.

Legend says that he might have to argue with Shelton now

The last winner returns for another season. He talked about Gwen Stefani joining the cast again next season.

"It will fit well," he told E! New. "We are going to have a lot of fun." He explained what would be the dynamics without Levine. The legend could add "argue with Blake Shelton" to his coaching duties on his return.

"[Stefani and Shelton] He probably will not argue as much as he and Adam … Maybe I should start arguing with Blake now, "he said.

Stefani and Shelton obviously have chemistry since birth for years, but it's not the same as Levine. Fans will have to wait and see if Legend will commit to keeping Shelton's ego at bay next season.
