Who will win Game of Thrones? Our thoughts and predictions …

were quickly approaching the end of Game of Thrones and we have a lot of feelings about it.

Some of us are prepared for disappointment. Others revel in Cersei Lannister, the biggest villain of the history of television. Especially everyone is angry that Jon Snow did not say goodbye to Ghost.

But as we move towards the final phase (and we finally properly calibrated our TVs), we thought it might be a good time to discuss forecasts.

Who will finally win the Game of Thrones? Here is what we think.

Mark Serrels

It's clear at this point that the ship is heading towards the end of Jon Snow, but it's Game of Thrones and what you thought will happen is almost meaningless.

It's a hard call. The symbolism of Rhaegal gets shot in the neck by Euron Greyjoy, leaving only one dragon, suggests that Dany and Jon ruling on the kingdom of incest while a torque problem of aunt and nephew power do not occur at this point. The smart money is probably about Jon Snow, since it's a LITERAL AND ACTUAL MARY SUE, but a super-Dany is always a possibility.

Part of me, however, would like the dramatic turn of Cersei's victory at the end. Look, she may be a sociopath who hates the poor, but she suffered a lot, okay? She was used and abused, her children were murdered and she reigns supreme in the most patriarchal universe of the history of television. She has faced men in the game of the throne, respecting the rules they have written, rules that are totally disadvantageous to her, but she continues to surpass them.

The theories of wild fan-fics are on the table now that GoT is running strong until the finish line, right? So the real winner should be Hot Pie.

Hot Pie actually killed the king of the night. He put Arya on the way back to Winterfell, where she finally ended the reign of the Blue Man band. This makes Hot Pie the most authentic and healthy choice to lead the kingdom into a prosperous era for post-Lannister pastries.

Oh … we can not do fan-fic? Well, nobody. And not like Arya's No One. Just nobody. Nobody wins. We all lose.

I only saw the first episode, but I'm pretty sure that Sean Bean's guy will go to the end. Long live King Sean!

I really wanted to see King of the Night on the Iron Throne because I was a believer in all allegory about White Walkers representing climate change. And Game of Thrones as a cautionary tale to take the welfare of the planet more seriously has really attracted me. Now that Westeros seems to be getting rid of blue-eyed zombies, I feel a little disappointed.

One thing is clear: I absolutely do not want a happy ending for this show and I'll be upset if Jon + Dany ends up sharing the throne, holding hands and living happy forever. Even if they are a slightly incestuous couple.

So either let Cercelli ruthlessly win (she makes the TV much more entertaining than the tasteless Jon Snow / Aegon Targaryen) or find a way for the Forest Children to create a new nocturnal monarch and let the undead take the Iron Throne.

Similarly, if Game of Thrones has sparked an uproar around a cup of Starbucks coffee, he could create another one with regard to single use plastic.

I've dreamed about it after reading a title (but not read the story) about The theory of Stephen King. In my dream, Jaime dies while killing Cersei while she's getting ready to do something really crazy – like when Jaime killed Dany's father. The mountain kills the dog. The gray worm kills the mountain. Dany and his dragon die in battle against Euron. Jon dies trying to save Dany. Yara arrives and kills Euron.

Basically, only a miserable Tyrion is left to govern. My dream included neither Arya nor Bran, although I'm sure that they will play important roles in the finale. She also did not include Sansa, but I imagine that she remarries with Tyrion and becomes queen. Finally, Qyburn was not in my dream, but he certainly needs to die of a horrible death, like Ramsay.

Still, what I really want is for Dany to break the wheel and reign in peace, with Jon. But that gives the impression that I'm asking for far too much.

I think it will be Jon because he did not have to kill the King of the Night, so it's his time to shine. I do not have any other reasoning.

I'm hoping that Sansa dominates the north and that Dany fills her fate by assuring King's Landing – but then she realizes that Drogon is not happy in Westeros and is flying somewhere where people secret dragons live to the How to train your dragon 3.

All characters who have a goal, like Arya killing a lot, reach their goal and die, or die before reaching their goal. They are all dying because otherwise, they would be aimless in Jon's happy realm.

Dany has been introduced rather unfriendly this season and Jon has strictly adhered to his father-uncle's code of honor and decency, making it the obvious choice for the throne (though that honor killed Ned and Jon really does not want to sit on his chair (made of knives).

Cersei is incredible to watch, but she has the throne long enough and her fortune must come.
