Barbara Corcoran offers a heartfelt apology to Whoopi Goldberg after criticizing for doing what she called a “joke” on the “Sister Act” star in “The View” on Thursday.
“Just got back from ‘The View’ and saw my old friend Whoopi,” the 72-year-old ‘Shark Tank’ star began in a video. shared on twitter. “She has a phenomenal sense of humor, and I’ve known Whoopi for years.”
Corcoran continued, “I made a joke at Whoopi’s expense, what I now realize was no fun. For anyone I may have unintentionally offended, I just wanted to say I’m so sorry.”
The moment in question came when Corcoran told the panel that Emma Grede – the founder and CEO of denim brand Good American – would be the first female black shark to appear on “Shark Tank.” The brand is also championed by Khloé Kardashian for its all-inclusive style.

Co-host Sunny Hostin, 52, praised the business model of developing jeans in different sizes, to which Goldberg, 65, joked: “Well I have to try them on,” jokingly, “Go they adapt to this COVID [butt]? “

While Hostin and his co-host Ana Navarro, 49, were adamant the jeans would suit Goldberg, Corcoran found an opportunity in the joke to poke fun at the 65-year-old.

“When you’re done with those jeans and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’ll make two pairs of them,” the entrepreneur said – prompting Navarro to come to the aid of Goldberg, who has looked taken aback by the remark.
“Whoopi, let me tell you something. Sara Haines and Jill Biden already wore this dress, on television,” Navarro retorted, referring to the floral dress Corcoran was wearing.
Following the now-viral feud, fans quickly took to social media to lend their own money to the exchange – with one person writing, “Ana is that girl! Ride or die and I love her for that! @ ananavarro said don’t you come for Whoopi! “

“I had to rewind and listen to it again just to be sure I heard correctly” added another spectator. “But, being much shorter than @WhoopiGoldberg doesn’t make @BarbaraCorcoran a better person and that should be a learning lesson for young girls.”
