2019 iPad Air in the gray space
The new Air iPad 2019 costs $ 499 and goes up to $ 779 for a 256GB, Wi-Fi and cellular model. In recent days, we use this iPad as a daily tablet to watch videos on YouTube or follow certain shows on Hulu, respond to e-mails and scribble works of art for fun. Before Apple announced this new Air, we regularly used the 2017 iPad Pro, which physically looks like this new Air iPad, minus an extra set of speakers at the top and a camera flash on the back.

As we have mentioned, this new iPad Air has new interns. It uses the A12 Bionic processor from the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and the new iPad mini 5 to be reliable and fast. I did not notice any slowdowns during my tests.
It also has a new screen more accurate in color and more aesthetic than all previous models. It also supports the first generation of Apple pencils.
Both speakers are powerful and powerful, as they have always been on an iPad. But, as with most iPads, you will probably cover at least one speaker with your hand, choking the sound a bit.
The new Air also has a smart connector on the right side of the device to use the smart keyboard of Apple. We think it's the best keyboard you can buy for the iPad, even though it sometimes seems a little blurry, but for whatever reason, it seems right to us. There are hundreds of Bluetooth keyboards on the market, but if you are looking for the best, the smart keyboard is the one you should consider buying.
The new iPad Air is really great. You get a very fast processor, amazing display, and first-party keyboard support.
Still, at the moment, you should rather consider buying a 10.5 inch iPad Pro 2017.
First generation Apple Pencil and 2019 iPad Air
With the iPad Pro, you get a ProMotion screen that gives you a refresh rate of 120Hz compared to the 60Hz found on the airwaves. This allows the user interface to feel more sensitive to your touch and to have other subtleties when drawing with an Apple pencil.
Second, you get an extra pair of speakers, which is significantly better for media consumption or music playback. If you cover one with one hand, you lose less than if you cover one of the two iPad Air speakers. And you also get a slightly better rear camera with an LED flash if you prefer to photograph an iPad.
Geekbench records for 2017 iPad Pro and 2019 iPad Air
The difference in processing power between the A10X Fusion and the A12 Bionic is small, but the A12 Bionic has a lead. Whatever the case may be, the A10X of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is still a powerful processor capable of handling everything you throw at it. From Pro applications to intensive graphics games, you will not be disappointed with the performance of both models.
Both models support the first generation of Apple pencils. It is therefore a dead heat. If you do not use the Lightning adapter for half an inch, you need to hang the Apple pencil at the iPad as an expensive pacifier stick, instead of the magnetic wireless charging of the 2018 iPad Pro range.
Geekbench scores show that the new iPad Air displays a score of 4765 in single-core and 11379 in multicore, while the 10.5-inch iPad Pro records 3916 in single-core and 9346 in multicore. In the real world, the Pro model also has 4GB of RAM compared to the 3GB available on the 2019 Air, which means that a larger number of applications can be stored in RAM and only not be emptied when things get complicated.
Prices in between are very close and sometimes you can even find the older 10.5-inch Pro model at a much lower price than the new Air.
Apple Pencil and iPad Air
If you are looking to buy your first iPad and you do not want the new iPad mini or the standard 9.7 inch iPad or you simply do not have enough money to buy the new Pro models of 11 inches or 12.9 inches, look in the iPad Pro 2017. It's about the same price, if it's a little cheaper than the new iPad Air 2019, and you get a much better screen with ProMotion, four speakers and a slightly higher camera.
