Lately, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has had a mystery related to him. People wonder about his future in Green Bay, unsure if he will end up ending his career there. Then he subtly announced that he had a fiancée during his NFL MVP speech. He has kept a certain mystery there, as he did not announce who he was engaged to at the time, although several reports indicated that he was in a relationship with actress Shailene Woodley.

But there was even more mystery to his MVP speech when he made a seemingly random reference to actress Jodie Foster, leaving many wondering what the connection was to her.

“Off the pitch I have a great group of people supporting me so I would like to thank my team off the pitch,” Rodgers said, listing many people, before mentioning Foster.

Aaron, we have so many questions about so many things!

Foster has a connection with Woodley, as the actresses are the co-stars of the new film “The Mauritanian”. But it’s a little more than that. Foster gave us better insight into why she received a shout from the Packers star during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” recently.

Foster, a Packers superfan, does not know Rodgers personally but said: “He just knows I’m his biggest fan.”

Excited, Foster chose to interpret this to mean that she has a place on the team:

“He said ‘MY team’, that makes me a Green Bay Packer … People keep saying, ‘No Jodie, that doesn’t mean you’re part of the team’, but it Is means that I am part of the team. “

Kimmel asked if she won a Golden Globe if she would thank Rodgers, and she responded with an “absolutely” enthusiastic, but notes that she might have to mention the entire Packers roster.

“Davante Adams must be there somewhere,” she said.
