Striker Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans was seen on a video giving the finger of the major when he left the field Wednesday night (April 3) after a loss to the Charlotte Hornets at Smoothie King Center.
But what caused Davis' reaction?
According to a direct message that appears to have been sent from Davis' account on Instagram to an account that posted the video, he said the fan disrespected him and said something he did not like.
Several sources told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune Davis was caused by the fan. One source said that Davis simply said "(expletive) you, AD!", Which motivated his answer.
Based on the recent history of the NBA, Davis should be fined. The pelicans' security team was close to Davis and cooperating with NBA officials.
