If you are a veteran RuPaul drag racing fan, you know for a fact that the success or failure of competition is none other than Snatch Game. Usually halfway through the season, this challenge separates the winners from the queens. If you were waiting for Episode 9 to see which Snatch Game characters Season 13 Queens are going to pop out of their bags, you might have to wait a little longer. This week, there is a change in the regular programming of the show.
While there isn’t an episode, there is something special in store. Filming an entire season in the midst of a pandemic is no small feat, and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is no small production either. Between ensuring the safety of the queens and the entire crew, making sure that Season 13 was shot and produced was a tall order in itself.

However, the cast and crew managed to deliver a fabulous (albeit long) season. To see how they managed to achieve this, tune in to “ RuPaul’s Drag Race: Corona Can’t Keep A Good Queen Down, ” a documentary on how the team has turned out this season. It airs February 26 at 8/7 C on VH1.
In the trailer, we see the queens and the crew go into production, all while wearing masks and face shields and maintaining Covid-19 safety protocols. “They were doing everything in their power to make sure COVID didn’t rule this parade,” Utica Queen tells the producers in the trailer. Each of the queens talks about their experience shooting in such conditions and how they all fared.
There is speculation that showing this documentary halfway through the season is a way to save more time until the finale, as the “RDPR” finals are still being shot live. Last year’s final took place virtually, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. At first glance, the series tries to avoid another virtual finale. However, there is no confirmation on what the end result might be. Looks like we’re going to have to wait a bit before we find out who’s next American drag superstar.
