Khloe kardashian once said, “I don’t believe in revenge.”
And it seems she sticks to that motto when it comes to her ex. Even though the old keeping up with the Kardashians the star recently quit with Tristan thompson, that doesn’t mean he’s not part of her life.
On the one hand, the duo, who broke up in June after rekindling their romance last fall, share a 3-year-old girl. True Thompson. A source close to Khloe exclusively told E! News that the NBA star and Good American co-founder have remained friendly over co-parenting their toddler.
“Khloe and Tristan are on good terms. They are cordial and communicate every day about True,” says the insider. “Khloe has completely compartmentalized their relationship and is now in a much better position when it comes to the breakup.”
As the source says, “Khloe isn’t going to rule him out of anything and wants him there for True’s sake.”

Since his split last month, the insider points out that the Boston Celtics player “has been around the family” and is “still very involved in their lives.”
Earlier this month, a separate source close to Khloe echoed similar sentiments, sharing: “Khloe is done with [Tristan] romantically, but they still talk to each other every day and see each other often. They have to communicate because of True, and Khloe doesn’t want stress or tension added to her life. “
At the time, the source reiterated that Khloe was done for good and had no plans to “take it back.”
But despite Khloe’s decision to leave their relationship, the insider revealed that Tristan went out of his way to make things right with her.
“Tristan is desperately trying to win Khloe back,” the source previously noted. “He really loves her and wants to be with her. He hates that it can’t work and has gone to great lengths to make her happy.”
In recent weeks, the 30-year-old has publicly displayed his affection for the former E! Star. Whether he’s leaving affectionate comments on his sexy Instagram pics or having heated chats with his other exes, like Lamar OdomIt’s clear he still cares about the 37-year-old fashion mogul.
And while Khloe doesn’t share those same feelings, she has already shared on the keeping up with the Kardashians final reunion of the series that she and Tristan will always have a strong friendship.
“I don’t know, we just really, really became really good friends with each other,” she said last month. “It was just this natural progression… I really trust him as a friend.”
