Why Loki is getting Season 2 instead of previous Marvel Disney + shows

Loki fans were just clueless at the end of Season 1. But unlike other MCU fans, they would get another collection of episodes with Tom Hiddleston’s Trickster God. For people who have enjoyed Wanda’s growth in WandaVision and those who are wondering what is the next step for Anthony Mackie after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the answers are a little more murky. Yes, Captain America 4 has been announced with no release date and Scarlet Witch is expected to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, it’s a whole year for fans of the Elizabeth Olsen character and who knows how long for fans of Cap. When it comes to the MCU TV shows so far, there’s a big reason Loki will be able to roam the multiverse timelines while Scarlet Witch and Sam Wilson sit on the sidelines. Simply put, these stories have reached their conclusions for the time being.

If we think about WandaVision, the whole show opens with the characters of Olsen and Paul Bethany moving into their home in Westview. (There’s a time and place inherent in the show. This tiny New Jersey suburb.) However, as things continue to unfold, the pieces of the facade Wanda built for herself begin to crack. . Time starts to pass quickly, and its underlying issues remain pretty much the same. She must heal the traumas of Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Infinity War before she can really move forward. An Agatha Harkness forces these confrontations out of her, she comes out with a better understanding of who she is and a set of goals for herself. (Now, some of those goals aren’t too favorable to the overall MCU and Multiverse timeline.)

Then, finished with Sam, the weight of Steve Rogers handing him that shield in Avengers: Endgame serves as a kind of starting point for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He wonders what to do next, just like his colleague Bucky Barnes. Both have lost Captain America and are trying to navigate this world to the best of their ability. However, it quickly becomes clear that sitting around and letting someone else make these decisions is not the best thing to do. So, a new Captain America is unveiled and Bucky helps his friend after a male affair in Louisiana. The world knows Captain America is back and the American Agent is up for something more nefarious down the road. Baron Zemo is in Wakanadan’s custody and Sharon Carter is now in a prime position to wreak havoc behind the scenes.

These two characters have completed this chapter of their story. Would another trip down the television past with Olsen and Bettany be a gas? Absoutely! Could I watch Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s comedic friendship evolve as they eat crayfish? You bet! But, if there were to be any concise endings to these shows, this is where they would likely let audiences go.

Bring things back to Loki, we find our protagonist in disarray at the end of the season finale. His love interest betrayed him and caused irreparable damage to the “sacred timeline”. Things change even as he enters VAT. Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t even recognize Hiddleston’s face. So things are bad, and they are about to get worse. The three statues of the TVA atrium of the Keepers of Time have been replaced by the face of Kang the Conqueror by Jonathan Majors. (The villain already looks different than the one that’s left!) All of these things can fit perfectly into another season on Disney +. Sylvie has to come back to Loki at some point and move forward as a character. Loki must understand what they did. And, Mobius really needs to have this jet ski.

So there’s no second season for Wanda Maximoff or Sam Wilson, but fans will likely see them both sooner than you might think.

Would you like WandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier do you have second seasons? Let us know in the comments!
