Microsoft has just released a new Flight simulator. Gamers all over the world are enjoying the game – except for China.

The last Flight simulator was released on Steam in 2014, and this version was released in 2006. But this latest edition did not make it to China.

As Morning Message from South China reports, the game has not been approved for sale in China, although you can fly over the headquarters of the Forbidden City and CCTV.

“I think it’s a mix of publishing licensing issues and game content,” said Daniel Camilo, enterprise game developer at Apptutti in China.

“Since the game allows [players] travel virtually anywhere in the world and “ inspect ” many sites in great detail (airports in particular), which could potentially raise many content issues for Chinese regulators, [such as] flying over Xinjiang, Taiwan, and how those regions would be identified. “

As SCMP Note, it can also take a long time for a game to be approved for release in China. The country’s players, however, continue to play the game by changing their region on the Microsoft Store.
