The Seattle Seahawks are due to reduce their roster from 90 to 85 by 4 p.m. New York time on Tuesday, and on Monday afternoon, ESPN’s Brady Henderson said the team had notified at least one player of their decision.
The Seahawks have informed LB Nate Evans that he is waived, I am told. NFL teams are due to cut their rosters from 90 to 85 at 1:00 p.m. PT tomorrow.

Nate Evans was a linebacker the team claimed from the Jacksonville Jaguars during the offseason but didn’t do enough to hold onto a place in the squad despite a strong special team in the pre-op opener. -season against the Las Vegas Raiders. The depth at the Seahawks linebacker had been relatively shallow, but with the starting roles firmly in the hands of Bobby Wagner, Jordyn Brooks and Darrell Taylor while Cody Barton and Ben Burr-Kirven are pretty well locked in depth.
