Why Tesla’s low inventory levels could indicate a staggering number of third quarter deliveries – Tesla Motors (TSLA)

In the next few days, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) will share vehicle delivery figures for the third quarter of 2021, encompassing worldwide deliveries from July through September.

The past few quarters have been record breaking, with Tesla delivering more than 200,000 vehicles for the first time in the second quarter despite continuing supply chain issues and chip shortages.

And while most people order their new Tesla bespoke, with delivery estimates currently until June 2022, the company is also offering some vehicles from available inventory.

Tesla offers a selection of its inventory on its website, but it selectively displays the vehicles closest to your current location. Another website, called EV-CPO, will allow you to browse all new or used Tesla vehicles currently available in inventory.

A quick search on this website shows that among the new vehicles in stock, there are no S models available, no X models available (none have yet been produced in 2021), one Y model available and around 50 models. 3 available nationwide in the United States. .

With the CEO Elon musk Saying this will be Tesla’s busiest delivery week, long wait times for new orders and lack of vehicles available in inventory, all signs point to Tesla having another record quarter of deliveries. This is even as Tesla continues to deal with supply chain issues, mostly blaming Renesas and Bosch.
