Georgian football will address the media this week as Kirby Smart's team at SEC Media Days

For the first time at SEC Media Days, the three Georgian representatives addressing the media will do so as players who joined the Georgian football program after Kirby Smart became head coach in December 2015.

There is a season, J.Red Reed, security manager, along with defensemen Jonathan Ledbetter and Terry Godwin. Reed will speak again on Tuesday and will be joined by offensive tackle Andrew Thomas and quarterback Jake Fromm.

All three players entered the Smart program before he even coached his first game in Georgia. Fromm reversed his Alabama engagement in Georgia in March 2016. Reed was transferred from Tulsa in June of the same year. Thomas is engaged in Georgia next month.

Fromm, Reed and Thomas have been fundamental pieces of the smart era. In each of the past two seasons, the trio has started 85 combined games for the Bulldogs. At this point, only Thomas has earned the All-SEC title, but there is a good chance this will change this week.

There is a season, Georgia was one of the best defensive units in the country to prevent big games. Reed is an important reason why he served as the last line of defense in the pass and against the race. He had 66 tackles a season ago while also having two interceptions.

"(Reed) is a great leader. He's very communicative in this high school, "said Smart about Reed earlier this spring. "He is the alpha of this secondary. He says that's what we do. He takes over. He asks the guys to take notes at the meeting. He's what you want. "

With offensive line coach Sam Pittman, Georgia has put in place dominant offensive lines. And there is probably no better player to play for Pittman than Thomas. He started all games as a freshman in the right tackle and then 13 times out of 14 on the left tackle in the second year.

He was voted the first all-SEC team by coaches last season and was referred to as someone who could be the first offensive tackle taken during the NFL draft in 2020.

As far as Fromm is concerned, there may be no player who has encapsulated Georgian football under Smart beyond the junior quarter. He did not show the most accurate figure and did not look very bright, but he won a ton of games. He is 23 years old as a starter and has not yet lost his match against a team from SEC East. He had his share of hiccups, but Georgia lost no match just because of his game.

Fromm will ask a number of questions on topics such as Justin Fields, replacing his top five receivers of the previous season and on the possibility of beating Alabama. He will answer all these questions and will succeed in doing so. There is a reason why he has become the face of Georgia's football program.

Asked previously about broad receiver revenue, Fromm said he would do more this season. This will probably be a common theme among the three players' responses this week.

"For me, it's about improving the quality of the guys around me. Get them as informed as me of the offense, "Fromm said. "Being able to change things and change according to what the defense shows."

Each of the three players should be considered the leader of the Georgia program. And for the first time, the three Georgian representatives will do so by buying the Smart program from the University of Georgia. Nolan Smith already ranked among potential future candidates

The NFL draft cycle never seems to end. Although we have not played a game for months, there has been a lot of writing about Fromm, Thomas and countless other hopes. But now there is a prediction project on a player who has not played college football yet.

ESPN has established a list of players to watch for draft NFL 2021, 2022 and 2023. Prospects for 2021 are entering their second season. The outlook for 2022 and the outlook for 2023 are yet to play a game at the college level. Nevertheless, a player from Georgia has already been mentioned as the first choice among the possible projects.

Nolan Smith – who was the No. 1 prospect in the 2019 recruiting class – is already considered a possible first-round pick in the NFL's 2022 draft.
