Wichita's parents accused of murder and child abuse at the death of a 3-year-old boy

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The parents of a 3-year-old boy found dead in a mobile home in South Wichita appeared for the first time in court over the death of this boy on Tuesday.

Brandi Marchant, 22, and Patrick Javonovich, 28, are both charged with five counts, including first-degree murder, mistreatment and aggravated children's endangerment of the murder of elderly Zaiden Javonovich 3 years old.

Police found the dead boy in the mobile home on Thursday, April 11th. The investigators claim that he may have been dead for several days. They also found a four-month-old boy who needed medical attention. The agents arrested Marchant and Javonovich early Friday morning for murder and crime endangering children.

At the hearing on Tuesday, both men were ordered not to have contact with the convalescent baby in a Wichita hospital.

Marchant and Javonovich are being held in Sedgwick County Jail on a $ 200,000 bail.

They must appear again in court on April 25 at 1:30 pm
