Wilder reveals that Fury will return after Ortiz

Heavyweight title holder Deontay Wilder announced on Friday that he would fight the much anticipated Tyson Fury, the online champion, after defeating Luis "King Kong" Ortiz in another return match in September.

Wilder-Fury II would take place in the early part of 2020.

"Well, as I always say, I'm the biggest champion in the industry and, as I've already mentioned, I have to handle all my controversial fights as soon as possible." Luis Ortiz is the first and then Tyson Fury , "writes Wilder on social media.

Wilder announced Tuesday the return match against Ortiz, which was not surprising, although the most important fight in boxing is the undisputed clash between Wilder and Anthony Joshua, who will defend his belt against Andy Ruiz Jr. on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Many expected him to attend the confrontation with the Polish opponent Adam Kownacki, based in New York, during the dramatic KO of Ortiz during the 10th round of the 2018 fight. But Wilder had a shock in announcing the revenge with Fury.

Fury is expected to defeat Tom Schwarz in his ESPN + bout on June 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Wilder and Fury fought for an epic draw in December at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in a fight in which Fury dominated Wilder for extended periods, but suffered two rollovers, including a heavy one in the 12th round, where he managed to survive.

Then, they were close to revenge, but Fury, surprised, signed with Top Rank to forward his events to ESPN.

Although details of arrangements for Wilder-Fury II have not been clarified, the fight will be on pay-TV and ESPN will be involved, told ESPN an informed source of the situation. Wilder is fighting for the Premier Boxing Champions of Al Haymon, who is lined up on Showtime and Fox, so the return match is a joint venture between ESPN and one of those networks.

"Never [am I] watching [past] Ortiz, "Wilder wrote." He is a dangerous fighter, but I look through him. "
