As the weekend approached, we heard that Ewan McGregor was in talks to resume his role as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for a Star wars Disney + series.

This is both good and bad news. The good news is that McGregor can finally resume his role. The bad news is because of Solo underperforming, it will not be via film. After Solo, Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm has shaken the whole future of Star wars. Part of the failure can be summed up in Star wars tired. The release of the film was too close to that of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Listen, we can debate what has not worked all day, but it's useless. What is done is done with. Will Disney + bring back more characters from Star Wars?

While McGregor is in talks to come back, this raises the question of whether other fans' favorites could come back. Bounty Hunter Boba Fett never had his due in the movies. A film was supposed to be produced but, again, it was canceled in the light of Solo"Could not the canceled movie have a new life in a TV show on Disney +? Or would it be a redundancy with the next Jon Favreau series, The mandalorian? A pair of Thief A the characters come back to life in another upcoming Disney + series. The sky is really the limit here because Star wars is popular. Fatigue can always happen but I think it will eventually calm down. This is how Marvel Studios has been so successful with the release of a few films a year.

It is really funny. Disney + will become a life saver for films that could have been underperforming at the box office. One of the key issues that everyone is concerned about, will Disney release the viewing numbers? This is an area in which viewers wanted to receive responses from Netflix and despite the tweets, questions remain. But that's another column for another day.
