Chase Elliott hopes the aerodynamic updates in NASCAR this year will help the series move away from the team work that has dominated Talladega and Daytona's latest races.
Team-mate selection has been common in NASCAR for decades, but it has intensified in recent years in the superpeedways until the second Talladega race, the four Ford drivers of Stewart-Haas Racing combine to lead 155 of 193 laps with Aric Almirola wins.
Chevrolet Hendrick Motorsports driver Elliott, son of Talladega's all-round record holder and 1988 series champion Bill, is not a fan of team races.
"I'm probably the wrong person to ask this question, but the way the builders and everyone really changed the game of the plate race, I'm not really sure of the correct answer," he said. he declares.
"Personally, I do not really like what it's like at the races, but everyone is true to what's important in their camps and it's a little bit the position we're all placed in, unfortunately.
"I do not think that's what everyone wants, it's certainly not what I want, but it's the position we have now."

"I felt good that everyone is pushing and doing what he has to do.

Elliott ranks 10th in points with one of the top three in nine races since the beginning of the year.
Kurt Busch is the only other Chevrolet driver in the top-10 ranking in seventh for Chip Ganassi Racing.
