The father of three – Trey, 26, of his marriage to Sheree Fletcher, and his two children with Jada Pinkett Smith, his 20-year-old son, Jaden, and his daughter Willow, 18 – shared on Facebook their son had a liaison moment during his recent trip to Abu Dhabi.
In the video, the actor said that Trey had told his father that he was his best friend. The moment was all the more special as they had not always had an easy relationship.
"It was not always like that between Trey and me," wrote the actor in his caption. "We struggled for years after his mother's divorce. He felt betrayed and abandoned. It's a wild blessing to recover and restore a relationship of love with my son-in-law! "
In May, Pinkett Smith invited Fletcher to his show, Talk Red Tableand the two women talked about their efforts to make their modern family work. Pinkett Smith noted that she and Smith had started dating before her divorce ended in 1995.

Will Smith had tears in his eyes when he was talking about that moment with Trey, his co-star in the 1998 video for "Just Us Two."
The comments were just as sweet.
