Will Smith leaves James Gunn's DC Comics

While DC Comics' film universe continues to flow, many remnants of Zack Snyder's influence are being removed from current franchises, the latest being the sequel or revival of Suicide team.

According to a new report from Variety, the Deadshot actor, Will Smith, will not come back for The suicide brigade, apparently out of the franchise entirely.

According to Variety, Smith's departure boils down to the age-old issue of scheduling conflicts. The actor and Warner Bros. Pictures apparently have decided to go ahead amicably, perhaps leaving the door open for a return in the future.
