Looks like Deadshot was a one-shot.
Well, it looks like Will Smith has stepped out of the DCEU. Variety reports that Smith will not return in the role of Deadshot in the sequel / reboot / relaunch of James Gunn, The suicide brigade. It seems like it's not really a case of not wanting Smith to play the role again or Smith not wanting to put the mask back on, but rather that it's a banal planning conflict.
Of course, it has never really been confirmed that Smith (or any other member of the cast of 2016 Suicide team) had planned to come back, so it's quite possible that Smith was never in the cards, anyway. Still, it's a bit disappointing to see everyone's third favorite character among the extremely adorable casting of the first film suspended definitively. I bless you.
And that's about all there is to see here! What do you think of all this? Think that there will be some semblance of continuity until 2016 Suicide team, or does this news signal a complete reshuffle? Speculates recklessly in the comments, nerds.
