Felicity Huffman's husband, William H. Macy, worries about her safety and mental state as she prepares to spend 14 days in jail for her role in the university admissions scandal.
A source close to the family told People that Macy, 69, was happy that the arrest and the sentencing process were over after finding out how bad it had been for her wife and their family. However, he "continues to worry about his well-being".

Huffman, 56, was sentenced to two weeks in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit postal fraud and mail fraud related to honest services in May. She confessed to having paid $ 15,000 to an admissions consultant for a supervisor to correct her eldest daughter's responses to the SAT. She envisioned the same thing for her youngest daughter but decided not to do it.
She must also complete 250 hours of community service and pay a fine of $ 30,000.

In a September 4 letter asking for clemency, Huffman said that she had turned to the scheme because her daughter's poor math results had compromised her dream of going to school. University and pursue a career in the theater. She is now "deeply and permanently ashamed," she said.

The actor lamented that his wife could not find work since his arrest six months ago and that his daughter, who is now in college, took a sabbatical year.
He also said that Huffman's youngest daughter, who is in high school, is undergoing therapy.
"Felicity's only interest now is to find a way to fix her fate and help her daughters heal and move forward," wrote Macy.

Huffman must surrender for his 14-day sentence of imprisonment on October 25th.
