Windows 11: How to download Microsoft’s upgrade right now (you can skip the wait)

Windows 11 kicked off its large rollout last week, with Microsoft launching its new operating system and starting deployment to eligible devices on October 5. The upgrade is already free for everyone using Windows 10. Note that Microsoft is deploying the operating system in phases, so your system may not yet display the upgrade option. A blog post published in August by Microsoft said that the company expects “all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.” Don’t you want to wait? If you’re in no rush, however, the Windows 11 update will roll out to your device over the next few months when data from Microsoft indicates that the upgrade is ready for that device. When the new operating system is available, the upgrade process will look like a normal Windows 10 update, as long as your device is compatible and meets minimum requirements necessary. (And even if it isn’t, Microsoft will offer a workaround, but your Windows 11 installation will not be supported by the company.)

To see if your current Windows 10 PC is eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 11, you can check in different ways. And if you buy a new pc, this computer will also be eligible for the free upgrade.

If you haven’t updated to Windows 10 yet, don’t worry, there is a trick to download Windows 10 for free it still works. This would be a good time to make the switch to prepare your machine for upgrading to Windows 11. This tip will be the same one you use if you want to manually upgrade an older machine to Windows 11, although Microsoft does not ‘encourage to do so as it may not be eligible for the same updates.

Windows 11 installation wizard: How to download Windows 11 without waiting

Some users can download Windows 11 the same way you would get any new version of Windows. Just go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update and click Check for updates. If available, you will see Feature update to Windows 11. Click on Download and install.

However, note that the Windows 11 deployment will be slow – it may take months before it is available on your device. New PCs will receive the upgrade first, and all compatible devices are expected to receive it by mid-2022, depending on the device’s age and hardware.

If the upgrade is not yet available to you, but you want to upgrade now, there are several options available to you. The best and easiest option will be to download the Windows 11 installation wizard. To run after downloading to make sure your hardware is compatible. Then Accept and install to accept the license terms and begin the installation. When the program installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Your PC may restart multiple times during the installation finishing process, so don’t worry. Just keep your PC on until it’s all done.

If you can’t use the Windows 11 setup wizard, you have a few backup options, but be aware that they are more complicated. We strongly recommend that you consider waiting for the update to arrive on your device. If you are sure you want to continue, you can create a Windows 11 installation media or an ISO file. What’s in Windows 11

Windows 11 features a new clean design, with pastel colors, rounded corners, a new startup sound, and overall a more Mac-like look. The Windows start menu moved from the bottom left of the screen to the middle, with app icons arranged in the center next to it. You will find a lot of new office tools, like widgets that can give you information at a glance and easier creation of virtual desktops.
