LAS VEGAS (WTHR) – Hoosiers has had a pretty crazy race so far this winter, but if we thought everything was fine, there is now snow in places where it should not be.

Nevada saw the snow Sunday night, waking up to about two inches of snow on the Las Vegas Strip Monday morning.

According to Weather Channel, this is the first time in 10 years that Las Vegas sees a measurable amount of snow.

The last time the snow was measured in Las Vegas, it was in December 2008.

According to reports, the city could receive even more snow on Wednesday.

If you thought it was not crazy enough, Hawaii had a blizzard last week.

The crazy storm consisted of wind gusts of 191 mph and several inches of snow.

Snowfall is not completely unknown in the mountainous areas of the state, especially the Big Island volcanoes, but officials claim that the snow accumulation at 6,200 feet in a park of 39; State of Maui could be the lowest snowfall ever recorded in the state.

The mayor has even closed beaches and national parks due to extreme weather conditions.
