With the addition of Trey Flowers, Lions are aggressive and report they are all-in – The Athletic

For a 6-10 overall manager, with a record of 24-24 overall, Bob Quinn has had a surprising level of bragging over the last two months. At his end-of-season press conference, he pointed out that he knew – without thinking, or formulating an idea – that he knew what the Lions needed to improve. At the job spot, head coach Matt Patricia and himself were relaxed, comfortable, even friendly, when they spoke to the media.

Maybe the trust was not badly placed. The free agency has not even officially started yet, and Detroit has positioned itself to be one of the big winners of the event. History has shown time and time again that this does not necessarily mean that the season itself will have an impact, but the Lions had to make noise in March.

They did it, early and with force. On Monday, within seven hours, the Lions signed a one – year contract with receiver Danny Amendola.
