The Minnesota Timberwolves have a vacancy for their president of basketball operations since Tom Thibodeau's dismissal in January. Wednesday afternoon, this post would have been filled.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wolves are hiring Gersson Rosas, a long-time Houston Rockets coach, to lead the basketball team.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are hiring Houston's Gersson Rosas as the next president of the franchise's basketball operations, ESPN sources told the league.

Rosas has been with the Houston Rockets for much of the past 16 seasons, most recently as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
Rosas is one of four candidates who have been formally interviewed for the position, joining Trajan Langdon of Brooklyn, Calvin Booth of Denver and Chauncey Billups of ESPN.
