LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) – A woman was beaten to death with a Bird scooter in Long Beach, police said.
The attack occurred around 12:30. in the neighborhood of Obispo Avenue and 64th Street.
The woman was walking on the street when a man started attacking her, the police said.
A passer-by attempted to intervene but, at that time, the suspect seized a Bird electric scooter in a nearby garden and continued to hit the woman.
The suspect then fled.
The paramedics arrived and declared the woman dead on the scene.
The police are looking for the suspect.
