This is exactly what happened to a woman in China. The worst part is that she bought the device through a “really official” channel.
According to a Weibo port, a woman paid a hefty amount for an iPhone 12 Pro Max but received some sort of apple yogurt drink on her mail. She explained that she spent more than $ 1,500 to buy the new iPhone. However, the most important and surprising fact is that she placed the order on Apple’s official website and not through a third-party reseller. She was shocked to find that her iPhone 12 Pro Max had been replaced by the drink. Putting on an apple flavored drink was certainly a joke made by the con artist.
She did not receive her iPhone 12 Pro Max but did receive an apple yogurt drink
The woman named Liu said the package was not delivered straight to her door. She opted for the delivery to arrive in the parcel locker where she lived. Apple and Express Mail Service, the official courier claim that the iPhone 12 Pro Max was delivered to this location. However, Liu exclaims that she never received the iPhone and that an apple yogurt drink was delivered. Although no one knows when the theft took place, the case was filed with local police.
Apple and local courier company invest in business
According to a Global Times report, the express courier service has also hired dedicated people to investigate the matter. The investigation is still ongoing and Apple also shared a similar response to the Global Times investigation. The company claims that the iPhone 12 Pro Max case will be resolved soon.
As we said before, Apple devices, above all other flagships, are classified as premium. Their value takes time to decrease, so it’s a good item for resale. There have been many instances where Apple devices have been stolen. Now the case of apple yogurt is just another case on the list. Hopefully the situation will be resolved soon and Liu will receive his desired smartphone.
